Military: A Desert Storm vet, Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1987-1991. He was a Sniper Team Leader in the reserves from 1991-1998 and an Engineer Platoon Leader from 1998-2000. Mr. Smith currently serves as a JAG officer with the Maine Army National Guard.

Julio Desanctis practiced criminal and civil law in both State and Federal Courts in eastern Maine for over twenty years. Julio recently returned to his native New Jersey where he continues to practice.

Robert A. George

Bob is currently a student at the University of Maine School of Law and has a Bachelor's Degree in Mathmatics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's Degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois. His background includes service in the Peace Corps and a career as an award-winning journalist. Bob has been a Freelance Reporter for the Boston Globe, a Senior Reporter and Feature Writer at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and most recently was Special Projects Writer at the Times-Picayune in New Orleans, LA. Bob now uses his substantial investigative and writing skills to assist Attorney Smith in telling of our clients' stories.

As our Legal Assistant, Giovina takes information about new clients and sets up cases in our computer system. She processes client correspondence and assists Stephen and the paralegals with research and trial preparation. In addition to her background in management, Giovina has a degree from the Maine College of Art and is an accomplished portrait artist.

Margaret specializes in assisting Attorney Smith with organizing and presenting our personal injury practice. She also organizes and manages document requests and our computer system.

Office Manager

Milva is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine School of Business and has a Master's Degree in Italian Language from Middlebury College. Milva handles all finances and client billing. She also manages our office to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
